11.01.2021 News from Demisas

Increasing population, urbanization and technological innovations, differentiation of living standards and consumption habits, as a result, lead to many negativities that threaten living life such as rapid depletion of natural resources, more waste generation, environmental pollution and climate change. For this reason, it has become an inevitable necessity to implement a system that changes our consumption habits in a way that will reduce the consumption of primary resources and include more evaluation of wastes.

Various systems are used or started to be used to control waste within the framework of sustainable development principles throughout the world, and a ZERO WASTE management system has been established in Turkey. The principles, requirements and implementation calendar of the system are included in the Zero Waste Regulation published on 12.07.2019.

 “Zero Waste;

-Preventing waste,
-More efficient use of resources,
- Preventing or minimizing waste generation by reviewing the causes of waste generation,
- In case the waste is formed, it is collected separately at the source and
-Waste management philosophy that includes ensuring recycling.” is defined as.

Since the waste management infrastructure of DEMİSAŞ almost completely meets the requirements, the necessary changes and deficiencies were completed within the framework of a 1-month plan and a document application was made.

Within the scope of the plan;
Domestic waste bins, mixed packaging boxes, etc. in the rooms. waste collection equipment has been completely removed, thus enabling all users to reach the waste stations and collect their waste separately in containers there.

Containers and labels in colors in accordance with the Zero Waste Regulation have been completed, stations have been established. There are at least 2 different containers at the stations, and the stations with 2 are preferred for areas that appeal to the use of few people and generate less waste.
